GlitteredPinky: I live near Mobile, Alabama, which is the home of Mardi Gras – not New Orleans like everyone thinks! A man by the name of Joe Cain started Mardi Gras and in Mobile we have a Joe Cain Day. Everything is closed – schools, businesses, everything! And everyone is invited to march in the Joe Cain parade. Joe Cain is pulled by mules, as was the first Joe Cain, followed by his widows, all dressed in black, handing out black roses and black beads; followed by his mistresses, all dressed in red, handing out red roses; and now we have Joe Cain’s granddaughters, all dressed in PINK, handing out pink roses! I have the honor of being the recipient of several black roses with the actual names of the widows on them, and several red roses with the actual names of the mistresses’ on them! As you can tell, I could go on forever about Mardi Gras, and Mobile, Alabama!

GlitteredPinky: Tom’s Association was incorporated in 1993 and he’s been in it for 3 years now
GlitteredPinky: And, he is lucky enough to ride a float every year, tossing out the goodies, which are called “throws” to everyone. He prefers to throw stuffed animals and beads.
GlitteredPinky: The Mobile Mystics is a Mardi Gras Association, one of many in Mobile.

GlitteredPinky: They parade is during the day and then have their Ball is at night. Did you know, for example, that his organization spends almost a quarter of a million dollars by the time the rent the space, pay for all of the food, the bands – yes bands plural, and omg the booze alone is enough to help pay for the national budget! Haha!
FeliciaDivine: it’s close to Halloween and you always throw a fantastic party…a lot of your rooms and furniture are custom made…would you say Halloween is also a special time for you?
GlitteredPinky: Absolutely! I love Halloween and “Pinky’s Spider Web” is my Halloween chat room. Almost everything in the room is handmade by me.
GlitteredPinky: I have spiders roaming around the floor that are lanterns, spiders on the wall, guard spiders (did I mention I love spiders?) I even have new spider pets this year and a few spider costumes.

GlitteredPinky: Just come one come all and let’s have a Halloween Ball (whenever we’re not at the Fashion Show, that is). I’m not planning a special night for a party, it’s just Open House whenever anyone would like to come in and look around. The hay bales are for photo ops, and there’s a photo frame up in the spider web on stage with different poses also for photo ops. Tables and chairs are everywhere and there’s a couch. There are kissing love seats for those love-ghouls, cuddle spider chairs, and well, just come on and see what’s there.

GlitteredPinky: now for furniture and poses, I go to the catalog and put in what I’m looking for, and that’s where I find most of what I choose and is a particular mesher or two or three

FeliciaDivine: when i do a room i pick a couple of keywords, usualy a color…such as for the ice club i used blue, white and ice
GlitteredPinky: and when I make certain furniture, I also use key words
GlitteredPinky: same for poses, so it turns out that I don’t, per se, look for particular meshers, but rather key words first. Sometimes it just happens that I do get particular meshers, though.
GlitteredPinky: And, even though I do make BDSM furniture, poses, etc., I keep those toned down also.
GlitteredPinky: I’m in pain from failed back surgeries and fibromyalgia
GlitteredPinky: so I don’t have my BDSM on the more torturous side – I have it more on the playful and loving side

GlitteredPinky: imvu is a very big part of my life
FeliciaDivine: it must be tough dealing with the constant pain…your husband helps?
GlitteredPinky: because of the pain that I have, and the disability that I have, I am limited in the things that I can do physically
GlitteredPinky: yes, he is a tremendous help
GlitteredPinky: bless his heart, he does a lot of the housework, and he makes his own meals because of the special diet i am on
GlitteredPinky: To keep my mind off the pain, imvu is my biggest support
FeliciaDivine: i have multiple sclerosis, so does my sister, being on imvu after retiring i find imvu has given me a new chance to do something new…is it the same for you?

GlitteredPinky: It gives me a purpose, a reason, a family
FeliciaDivine: i find i can get along with people better and learn new things…creating is challenging and fun 🙂
